A complete knowledge of the theoretical basis Learning of the evaluation approach and the treatment choice process. Deep knowledge of treatment basics according to the main currently existing techniques
Knowledge and prescription terms of the conservative treatments, with a specific focus on SEAS (exercises) and SPoRT (braces).

Course organization
The PPSCT course is entirely delivered online, through the dedicated Online Learning Platform. The course is organized in 12 Modules, each one lasting two weeks. Each module includes three recorded theoretical lectures (each one about 45 minutes), self-administered by the students at a time suitable to them. Each lecture recommends 2 to 3 scientific papers, to be read to complete the task. Each module includes furthermore three Discussion groups where specific topics linked to the theme of the current module are discussed to enhance the students’ participation and to improve the learning process. The students state their opinion and support it with appropriate quotations to justify their position and to uphold it with the colleagues. Each module ends with an Online Live Session held by a coordinator, presenting clinical cases selected accordingly to the module's topics and the discussion groups. These are the only appointments which require to be connected live at a specific date/time (every two weeks for 1 hour).

The scheduled topics of PPSCT include scoliosis in all ages, mainly idiopathic but also with insight into secondary scoliosis:

Qualification for the Course
The PPSCT had been designed basically for physicians working in the physical and rehabilitation field, to address their need of a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art in the diagnosis and the prescription in this field, but also other categories involved in the treatment of this pathology may claim for this knowledge. Thus we enlarged the field and accept also registrations from other professionals, like physiotherapists, orthotists, PhDs etc., provided that the applicants are aware that a medical background is given for granted in the various learning activities. The course is linked to a grading process based on the assignment of points determined by the active participation in the discussion groups and during the live sessions. The achievement of a required number of points is mandatory to get at least the Attendance Certificate. Those who have reached the established threshold of points are also entitled to perform the Final PPSCT Examination and, passing the examination, they will achieve the PPSCT Certificate according to their profession.
